Getting tired of fake scenery

Had another obe last night. I think it started out as a dream but even that took place roughly in the bedroom.

I "woke up" or thought I did and was laying in bed looking at the corner of the room. I saw that the corner was distorted. There was a lump there and I KNEW right away that this was a signal. I closed my "eyes" and rolled out, no problem.

I rolled out into what looked like the park I walk to every morning with the dogs. It was night time. Now...here's the thing....
I feel like I'm on a movie set. I am fully conscious and know what I'm going to do but the scenery is distracting me. It all looks so fake. I feel like I could push the trees right over or walk through the sky like it was paper 10 ft. in front of me.

Thing is, this isn't the first time I've noticed this. A good 90% of my obe's are like this. Even if I'm indoors, if there is any sort of outdoor natural items, they seem very fake...trees, rocks etc. Also, the trees never have leaves on them. They are always bare.

Now, I'm thinking that maybe this has something to do with the way the eye sees things and that I'm not using my eyes. However, the problem with this is, why is it just the natural items? I'm getting more and more confused by this fake scenery.

So anyway, I'm walking down a dirt path and calling out to my guides and deities. I look around and all is quiet. I get nothing from the "higher ups". Then, animals start appearing. I see something large lumbering towards me. It is a giant grizzly. I am not afraid. I see the bear as possibly a diversion so as it comes up to me I continue to scan the sky (I don't really know why the sky) and I reach down to stroke the bears' head.

Soon after that a very large grey wolf approaches then a giant red bird. All are friendly but they also don't seem to be offering me anything one way or the other. I pet them all and continue to look up.

As I'm searching from star to star I focus on one and it starts to get bigger. I know this is not a good thing. This whole time I was being very calm and methodical in how I acted and what I did so I could maintain total control. When I saw this light I remembered my body and the light engulfed me and I woke up.

Unlike the obe I had the other night that was only a minute or less, this one felt like a good 15-20 minutes. Not great but not bad either. Wish it would have amounted to something more. Smiley

Nice post Viv. Sounds to me as if you are really at a point in your life where you are completely questioning everything in it. You might be closed off to any input right now, hence why your guides didn't say anything to you. Everything looks fake right now, because you are sick and tired of EVERYTHING. But....there is a ray of hope, which showed up as that bright star that enveloped you. You were looking up all the time because you feel you are on the bottom, and the only place there is to go is up. But remember that star...remember that light. It means not all is lost, not all is gone.

Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for that, Rob. That gives me a whole new take on the experience. All I could think about was from that one angle...that I was annoyed that the star woke me up and not being able to even start to think of what could cause the fake scenery like that.
What you say makes sense. I'm going to take some time to think about this. Smiley

Hi Viv,

Sometimes I have that same question, during my first OBE's I could barely see a thing, gradually I 'learned' to see while I was out.
It's remarkable, but during my lucid dreams, my vision is so much better than during my OBE's, and sometimes reality is then distorted or changed. What Rob said makes sense, I only wanted to state that I have the same question as you have. I remember you had very chaotic OBE's with coloured dragonflies, as big as airplanes ? Do you remember ?

hey indigo ...
seems like you created your own scenery just the way you wanted it to be
well I too had the same experience but with some changes....
I had this completely game screen as my vision and had several accessories at the edges of the screen like strength meter, battery meter....... I know this sounds quite weird but it seemed like I had all the accessories kept ready for this experience
for some reason I started  a conversation with my mother who was actually sleeping right beside me   cry.......
I'd like to ask you two question regarding the problem I am facing

1. Why would my first out of body experience ever have to be mingled by myself making my own reality's of the situation ......???
2.Will I ever be able to have a pure out of body experience that does not have or has to include anything to do with lucid dreaming??

Hi Vivekkarumudi,

I know you posted your question for Vivianne, but since she's no longer with us on this forum, I'd like to try to answer your two questions if that's ok.

1) Don't try to confuse OBEs with more stable existances like physical life. Here in the physical world, we can think things like, "So and so hates me!" over and over, and the effect of that negative thought takes time to become real. Out there in the worlds of out of body experiences, thoughts have a huge and rapid impact on the reality we are experiencing. It is a NATURAL part of the out of body experience, and the reason that it appears to be the same effect as in a lucid dream is because regular dreams, lucid dreams, and out of body experiences are taking place in an astral reality, NOT a physical reality. They are like different books about the same subject, with different "personalities" but based around the same construct. Generally, what works a certain way in an OBE will work the same way in a lucid dream, and vice versa, because the two experiences are intimately related. DO NOT think of your experience as somehow flawed because it contains elements of your psyche!! IT IS SUPPOSED TO! Instead, do whatever you can with the experience and learn from it without trying to turn it into something like "I'm an invisible person walking around in the real world". Believe me, you aren't. You can crisscross the physical AND the astral and experience a reality that has actual bits and pieces of what is going on at that moment in the physical world, but it is NOT strictly the physical world you are experiencing, and you will probably always experience "abnormal" things in your OBEs. This is NOT a flaw, you will come to find that this is invaluable as it will teach you things about yourself, your reality, and other realities, that this world alone cannot.

2) There is no such thing as a "pure" experience vs. an impure one. If you have an OBE that feels 100% like the waking world and nothing is a hair out of place, then you're actually forcing yourself to stay limited to physical world experiences. You'd be cutting yourself off from the flood of input from other times, other places, other dimensions, other lives, and maybe most importantly, input from your guide or guides. Most people that are having their first experiences have OBEs that very closely mimic waking reality, and it is my opinion that this happens because they are not ready for the weird and sometimes scary rollercoaster ride that OBEs can be. It was my experience that as I had more OBEs, they became more and more abstract, and I have noticed this effect with others as well. This led me to conclude that as the person becomes more experienced and more accepting of the unusual, the less they need to experience the "real world", and the more open they become to the psychic and the more abstract and complex information that bombards all of us every day through our intuition, whether we accept that it is there or not. The more open you become to other realities, the more you will experience of them, and a "pure" experience would be like a screaming fountain of noise from ALL realities at once, including the physical, the astral, the planes of life after death, the advanced realities where our thoughts actually become things, places we'd call heaven or hell, and on and on and on for the realities ARE in fact infinite. "Pure" would be opening your mind to all of that, all at once. Anything less than that is us limiting our perceptions, and believe me, at our level of advancement as living human beings, I would think that's a good thing, haha. Just the same, don't limit yourself to strictly here in your persuit of OBEs. You have waking reality for that. Use your OBEs as a tool to explore the rest of the universe, a bit at a time, and in so doing, explore yourself.

I do sincerely hope that helps. Smiley

Love and light,

Rick

If you open your mind for me
You wont rely on open eyes to see
The walls you built within
Come tumblng down, and a new world will begin
Living twice at once you learn
You're safe from pain in the dream domain
A soul set free to fly
A round trip journey in your head
Master of illusion, can you realize
Your dream's alive, you can be the guide but...

I will be watching over you
I am gonna help you see it through
I will protect you in the night
I'm smiling next to you...

Well, I cannot comment about the fake scenery because I simply can't figure out what it means. But the animals could be spirit guides you called out to. I read somewhere that, in case of some people, spirit guides appear in the form of animals. Considering the fact that they were friendly and did not really scare you, I think they were spirit guide, but of course I could be wrong.
